Analysis of advert with theories

Heinz

Due to the Semotics theory, the sign of this advert is sausage dogs in sausage costume running towards people in heinz costume bottle smiling at the dog running towards them. We think that they are going to eat the dogs due to the mid shots of their facial expression, especially the one with the beard that is pulling his beard like he  is thinking. However the mid shot showing this may be a humour tool, due tot he fact that they look quite weird wearing that. As they are showing a long shot and mid shots of the dogs some people think this is cute and cosy, which could suggest that the product is cosy too. And the fact that they have used family dressed in heinz costume could suggest that Heinz is for everyone and family members. However, some people may have an oppositional view of this, due to the fact that they might not like dogs and might find it offensive at the fact that they are dressed in a hot dog costume as this may put them off hot dogs and eating them.
