The fact that this video is in black and white it could connote the sadness of this, linking to the name of the song "say you wont let go", there is a number of close ups which is giving us a close up of the artists' expression which is very sad and grim. Despite the fact that  it is in black and white, there is a number light tones in the video, this could suggest how there is some light/ hope in the fact that the person wont let go. There is a narrative to this music video, it shows the growth of a couple, the black and white could also link to sadness as due to the fact that one of them dies and then we have a close up of the old man crying, this close up makes the audience feel sad as we feel like we were with them till one of them died . The light tones could suggest the light from heaven and the purity of this. This could be link with the representation, from Hall due to the fact that there is only white people, and there is a stereotypical view of a life. Since there is a stereotype of only white people there, this could reduce the fact that other races wont watch this, as they might not like the fact that no other races were shown in this.
